US 1/2 Mile Fans and Registrants,
We were energized by all the positive online comments about us launching the US 1/2 Mile Event as a standalone weekend (Oct 15-16, 2022) separate from The Texas Mile (Oct 28-30, 2022).
However, based on the actual entries to date (Aug. 8, 2022) and direct conversations with our core, long-term participant and sponsor group, it is not financially feasible to host the standalone 1/2 Mile Competition on Oct. 15-16, 2022. Therefore, we are contacting each 1/2 mile registrant directly providing the option for a refund or to move their entry to The Texas Mile weekend, where we still capture 1/2 mile speeds and are creating a roster of participants attending that want to compete for 1/2 mile top speeds in their registered class.
We look forward to focusing all our efforts on hosting our amazing Top Speed Motorsports Festival on October 28-30, 2022, the original Texas Mile that remains the premier Top Speed Festival for nearly 2-decades. We appreciate the support and understanding of our fans, sponsors and participants.
Sincerely,
Jay and Shannon Matus (Founders/Owners)
